Welcome to the Tippecanoe Amateur Radio Association

The Tippecanoe Amateur Radio Association was formed in February of 1951 to serve the community through the use of amateur radio. We offer education and support to new and established members, as well as providing vital communications to served agencies during times of disaster.
 

We currently offer our members:

  • Monthly Presentations on Amateur Radio
  • Access to a Network of Experienced Operators
  • Online Chat for Help and Discussions

Meeting Notice

The next TARA meeting is Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00 pm at the Lafayette Police Department Training Center, located at 1301 South Street in Lafayette. Note time change- meeting will start at 7:00 pm.
 
Annual TARA dues are due -- renew your $10 membership (plus $5 for each additional household member) or $5 for students.
 
We're currently looking into making Zoom available from this location.

Amateur Radio Testing (VE Testing)

The Tippecanoe County Volunteer Examiner Team, a member of the Laurel VEC, provides free amateur radio license examinations in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. For more information, please visit the team's website at https://tcvet.info.
